Haha, I believe what you're looking for is a "man". Jerks are the highschool douchebags, nice guys are the push overs that you walk all over. A Man on the other hand has the best of both worlds. He's assertive and confident and all the stuff a jerk typically is, without the need to actually be a douche. He'll also do some sweet things here and there.

Jerks have all the biological attraction markers women want, that's why they always get the girl It's not your fault for falling for them, because biologically you're looking for the perfect mate with strong genes and blah blah science lesson is over for the day.
