Hi!

New guy on this forum, so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong.

I've been hanging out with girls quite a lot lately and I think I may have found something with... potential, if you know what I mean. I met her a few weeks ago during some salsa lessons at school and we partnered up. We've been discussing taking some real courses together. Anyway, so far, she has been the one adding me on a social networking website, she added me on messenger, she's asked me to come by her work, almost forced me to take courses with her (no, she asked nicely) and she immediately said yes when I asked her to go shopping with me in my hometown (yes, guys go shopping too).

So, am I right to assume she's interested in me to say the least?

I like her too, obviously...

(I'm 19 years old by the way and she's 18, but I haven't had a lot of relationships so I'm a bit inexperienced in that respect.)

I didn't really mean dating girls, I just enjoy hanging out with them. I'm not worried about that. I'm not the kinda guy hiding anything, so if she's wondering, sure I'll tell her I go out with other girls as well...

Since you say you don't have experience in this area I'd like to tell you that sometimes too many friendships/ "hanging out" with the opposite sex can be a problem.

Are you "hanging out" with these girls one-one? Are they interested in you? Are you flirting with them?

No, not flirting. I keep my distance, they're just friends. I think there's one other girl that MAY be interested in me, but I don't speak to her very often. So no, not flirting with or interested in anybody else.

Any tips on how not to end up in the friend zone with her? Would flirting and such be sufficient or are there some things I should avoid doing? (Sure I'll go out with her...)

After 3-5 dates or outings you should have made a whole wack of moves, arms around her, lingering hugs, holding doors open and guiding her through with your hand on her back. After a few dates of doing this you should have the "will you be my girlfriend talk"

Make sure you use the right kind of language when you're discussing your outtings. When you mention spending time with her, don't say things like "hanging out," use the word "date." She needs to know that there is some romantic interest in her or else she might assume otherwise.

^ I personally think using the word 'date' is a little too cheesy. She's clearly interested and so long as this guy can make a move on her physically I (personally) wouldn't reccoment using that word specifically.

Well over here we don't use the word 'date' very often anyway (The Netherlands). I'll just tell her we'll go out for diner or something like that, and I'll keep teasing her from time to time.
