I know what you are saying, Asip, but end of the day Canada LOST. They don't give gold for who outshot who or technical play. In the end, its the sum total of offense+defense and Williams>>>Brodeur. The US forwards could completely suck, but if Williams can keep the puck out of the net long enough... well, that's the result we saw yesterday.

Anyway, onward to the medal rounds.

I wish there were more snowboarding. Shaun White is a stud. Although I'm convinced he's the offspring of Snuffalumpagus and Big Bird.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

When I saw Shaun white, I remember saying to my fiance "Wow, he looks like a very handsome woman." Needs to get a haircut, big time.

I've been enjoying Olympics immensely. Went to a curling event last night, which turned out to be hilarious....not what you'd expect from curling, but we had a few really hilarious guys sitting around us.

As for the hockey game......you win some you lose some. Not upset about it, because really, the only thing that kept the US in it was Miller. One of the goals was an empty netter, one went in off a skate. I'm more worried about playing Russia.

I'm not sure you can "kick ass" at ice dancing. Seems as preposterous as "I'm gonna f**k up this bowl of Cheerio's".

Yup. We get Russia tonight. Germany we beat easily so i hope we can bring our A game now. Sometimes playing back to back is exactly what a team needs and so maybe it's going to help. Russians are well rested but they may not have the chemistry especially early on in the game. Sid The Kid vs Alex The Great Ovechkin! In the other quarterfinal game, USA is taking on Switzerland team that shouldn't be taken lightly. They have a very determined group.

I'm sorry I have to go to work and miss this game. We have a big flatscreen at work but no sound on it; and I'm usually in my office, I can't just stand there and watch it.

I'm worried about this game, Russia is a pretty scary team. We don't win this, we're in trouble.

So we kicked Russia's butt pretty good. In just over an hour, it's the Slovaks. I hope we don't take them too lightly. If we win this one, we are going for gold!
