I've chatted with Derek and I don't think he's an idiot at all. He's from China and I think his only problem is he doesn't quite have mastery over the English language just yet..but don't confuse that with lack of intelligence....in case anyone was serious...that's my take.

i know that english is not derek's first language. that is why he doesn't understand everything that we talk about. however, i feel that sometimes he asks some really dumb questions, the type of questions in which you can figure out your own answers to.
