Some of you might remember I got a shop assitant's number a couple of weeks ago. Except I'm having a bit of trouble getting anything going. It's really to be expected in this situation. After all, she doesn't know me, I'm just some dude who came into her shop, chatted for a bit and then asked for her number. This kind of thing is hard to convert. But I'm rather taken with her, so I don't want to give up quite yet.

Anyway a couple of days after I got her number, I sent her text message asking if she wants to grab a drink. No response, which actually surprised me. I mean, I certainly though that was a possible outcome, but I did think we had a pretty good connection, she seemed receptive and she did say to me as I was leaving, "yeah, let's grab a drink or a coffee sometime." Of course, she might have just been humouring me.

Anyway, so then I retreated for a few days, and decided to move to FaceStalk. She was easy to find because she's got an unusual name and we actually share a mutual Facebook friend, so she came up straight away. So I sent her a request, and she added me, so I think that's reasonably encouraging. If she thought I was a creep she probably would have ignored the request.

Now, I don't really know what to do next. I'm thinking I should leave it for about two weeks, and then just send her a message. Don't ask her out, just say hello.

I think tomorrow sounds better as well. Waiting too long almost seems more calculating than just firing off a message right after connecting, and you want it to seem natural, like it's no big deal that you're saying hi.
