This is a good idea, but only in theory.

A good portion of illegal mexicans their bodies are here, but their hearts are in their homeland only. They send money home to other family & don't really care to be part of anything here in the states. Their sole purpose is to get our money & live like kings back in Mexico.

So what you're saying is we should be glad they've been kept illegal, because if they were made citizens, they would actually have rights, and therefore demand higher pay.

I see what you're saying, so if we can keep the status quo, we'll be better off.

If we kick them out, contractors will be forced to pay American citizens properly.

Looks like it's a lose-lose. In the end the American people will end up paying...more money to have their grass cut.

Force them out and watch inflation adjust accordingly so that higher trained sorts receive virtually no more benefits than the entire taxpayer base which has the costs passed down and foisted on them as a whole.

Here's an idea... limit illegal immigrants to a small number of fields until such time as they legitimately gain legal status, if ever.

Have a referendum every year which describes what jobs can be worked by illegal immigrants versus citizens and legal immigrants. Let the people decide what the tests should be on an ongoing basis without Fed government intervention. It could be done on a State by State level. Citizens would be free to work however they please, assuming that the Bill of Rights are always adhered to for them, and the illegals... barring the test.

No social programs.... no socialist bullshit.

Safe workers and safe food are dictated by a reputable character and legend...not legislative wanking.

Someone who delivers the goods to the need or want, succeeds.

Someone who injures, kills, or harms in any legitimate manner has their day in court should the violated person/party have a real claim of loss.

Those illegals who make the grade after a pre-determined period of time gain citizenship.

Those legals who went through the proper process, gain it even quicker.

Anyone legal can bring in their immediate family upon completing the legal process or for the illegals, passing the citizen test.

As there would be no socialism, bringing extended family in without the ability to support them would be family suicide.

Think about the fractured sense of nation which the Federal Government thrives on...

They impose tariffs, taxes, victim-less crime decrees and bullshit infractions without any moral or Constitutional precedent and with pseudo taxation fines for their coffers.

That's what the colonists revolted against to a large degree.
