Is he trying to make me jealous?

Ok, so I am/was in a LD relationship and things have sort of settled and we are not talking as much and when we do talk it is very random and mixed now, so I am quite confused by what is going on... Some conversations seem very normal where he appologized for not calling me as often to other convos where he is rambling on about how his son was telling someone he needed a girlfriend? Is this his way of telling me that he is moving on or what? I do have some things I still want to discuss with him in person, but if this is an indication of moving on, then I don't want to bother taking it there.....
Any advice of suggestions?

I'm assuming this isn't a relationship and because if it was, then the son wouldn't be telling him he needs a gf, as the son surely would be aware he has a girlfriend, ie: you.
It sounds to me, as though you are not a 'priority' in this guys life.

In any relationship and when the contact is not consistant and they are making 'busy' excuses, ...he is withdrawing and it's for a reason.

In long distance, communication is more important I feel and because it brings you both closer.
