So Confused!

Alright, so first let me give a little background.

I've been in a few relationships now, one of which I actually loved. The other ones just kinda fizzled out, and I was usually the one to cut the chord. Being burned out with the college drinking/hooking up scene, I decided, just for fun, to screw around on okcupid.com. I stumbled across this girl's page, had a legit interest, and contacted her. She responded, we started talking, primarily through texting, and it seemed to be going pretty well.

We decided to meet up for coffee a few days later. We were a little pressed on time because she was going out of town for a few days to visit an old friend. After about an hour or so of talking, she had to go. I thought it went really well, gave her a goodbye hug, and we parted ways. This is where things get odd. I ask her if I can take her out on an actual date a few days later. She doesn't respond. At all. Not to anything I say/ask after that coffee date. A few days later she texts me out of the blue saying "Hey " as if she hasn't been screening me for the last 5 friggen days. Nonetheless, we start talking again.

She uploads videos of herself playing guitar on youtube, and I thought it would have been a cute gesture to respond with me doing the same thing (she knows I don't play any instruments, so I teach myself how to play WHILE singing, upload it, and make a gigantic ass out of myself). I get a response from her shortly thereafter saying she was completely flattered, that we should hang out soon, it made her laugh, etc (everything I was aiming for). I ask if I can take her out to dinner this weekend, she says "sure ". I try to work the details out, she doesn't respond. What the hell is going on?!

Only she can answer that. Why doesn't matter as much as what, though, and what I see is that she's not following through. Keep trying, but if she continues to blow it off and you end up not taking her out, give up on her and tell her why.

Trust me, I'd MUCH rather call her, but between me working/school, and her work, our schedules are nearly polar opposites during the week.

that's what voicemail is for. she can dodge a text, but not a voice.
i wonder why she is unresponsive. Last time I met a girl like this, it's
because she was trying to put me on hold, while she decided between
going out with me or this other dude.
