    going to a night club alone - should I or shouldn't I?

    Hi,

I am going to be going away for a few days next month. I am staying in a hotel, but my friends are not arriving until the day after I arrive. I don't really want to spend a night alone in my hotel room, so I thought I could go out and enjoy myself. I though about going to a night club, but I would be alone. Would I look stupid going alone? I wouldn't have anyone to talk to :S

    Any suggestions?

If you do it, you're going to have to go to a big, busy club. You're going to have to keep moving, if you sit down at the bar or in a corner it will be obvious you're there by yourself and people will think you're a creep. You're going to have to pretend you're there with other people and you've lost them.

If I was you, I'd just wait for your friends.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.

I don't like going to places like that alone but that doesn't mean you can't.

Try and make new friends...I almost always make new friends when I go to a bar....well not always long term but at least for the evening.

    Are you male or female?

If male, it's more common to see males and out on there own. My ex husband would go to bars alone and often, but then he was very sociable person and had no trouble making friends. He could walk into a place not knowing a soul, then walk out three hours later knowing everybody, lol.

It's rare to see a female in a nightclub, bar alone however...so yeah, I can understand why it may make you feel uncomfortable to go alone, know I wouldn't go alone anyway.

I wouldn't do it. It doesn't seem like a good idea, from a personal safety standpoint.

Why don't you go to a movie instead?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

dude, you can do tons of things that don't involve the clubs: shop, dine out, rent a movie, walk around...

If you feel comfortable in an unknown city with no one you know, then go! Me, I would wait to have a good time with friends. Chill alone just for one night! Get ya rest and party harder than your friends when you go out! Its better to be safe than sorry!!!!

You could go to a club alone if you were planning on talking to some girls, but other than that, going to a club alone would be lame. Some things that you could do alone are read, watch a movie, a tv show, go shopping, go find a nice restaurant, explore, go meet some people at different social gatherings, go to my website and Read EVERYTHING! lol

If I were in your situation I would most likely go exploring and shop along the way. I may go to a club just to experience it and leave if I didn't like it.

    Hope that helped.

    Cheers,
    Aynka

I would wait for your friends. It's going to be uncomfortable for you, and clubbing alone is never fun unless you're so drunk you think you have a friend next to you.

Yes, go meet a nice guy or girl and have fun. It's your friends loss.
