    Controversy: The "C" Word

So it has come to my attention that cunt is up there with nigger, or faggot as far as the ability to offend.

In all honesty, I didn't realize the power the word held.

In my opinion, it simply wasn't used frequently enough, but my impression was that it was around the same level as dick, cock, or asshole.

I would say it's a step above bitch, because bitch has kind of become a badge of pride for some women to pound their chests with.

For all those in English speaking countries, is this the word to refer to women when you're looking to serve your balls for punting practice?

It is kind of the grandaddy of all vulgar words. I think it just sounds nasty though. Its not even that it means vagina, just is an ugly word.

Side note: women who are proud to be "bitches" like pound my chest proud to be a big mouthed, rude, "I sure told him/her" women...disgust me. Go back to 1997 and keep listening to Meridith Brook's "I'm a Bitch" in your 1999 Chevy Cavalier with your "Baby Gurl" decal in your back window.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

Most of the people who get called that here probably deserve it. They complain b/c they know it. I've been called all sorts of things here and I have never complained, nor would I. I think its funny.

Or, like Lahnna says, they are the sames ones that call their friends 'nigga' or 'bitch' and think its funny, but only when they do it. People are stupid. End of.

But yes, it is one of the ruder words out there.

I hate when some people here come and say "Hey bitches, what's up bitches, how are ya'll bitches??" , I feel like infracting such people straight away. And, "cunt" has for me the same value as "idiot". If people call others idiots ,they should count with the fact that someone comes and call them cunt :-O

I think it's probably one of the most vulgar words out there, if not THE worst. I cringe inwardly when I hear it or read it. I don't think it is at ALL the equivalent of "idiot".
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Its just another word to me, a sound, doesnt really bother me hearing it, though i dont say it as i try not to swear in general.

I think it's interesting that one word can mean so many different things to different people
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
    God or the Devil

I'd rather be called a cunt than a saucy, swag-bellied codpiece.

What if its used as part of another word, such as "we live in a big cuntry?"

I have seen this misspelling on college essays, its good for a long laugh.

What kind of teacher has that sloppy of handwriting, lol.

I'm more of the "Find X" : "It's right here!" kind of guy.

I would have given him 2 points for the Dr. Dre - The Chronic picture.
