I think if people got off on stuff like this, they wouldn't be content with just a 'fictional' horror movie - they'd be looking for the 'real' life torture stuff.

Worst thing I have ever seen and never want to see again was the beheading of Nick Berg. I still to this day don't know why I watched it and regret doing so.
This is a totally different kind of horror...'real' horror.'.

I can remember when a British guy was held captive by terrorists a few years back and urls posted all over showing his beheading. No way in a million years would I ever view that stuff or even have a desire to do so. That is what I hate about the internet. The fact it isn't censored to this kind of thing and I can't figure out why people would feel a desire to want to watch that kinda stuff.

yup, i remember devil's rejects. the part where that one guy got his face skinned alive was pretty gruesome. they don't really show it, but just the thought is enough to make your cringe. as for the real life stuff, blood and gore doesn't bother me, yet watching a beheading will tick me off a little. and then i'm back to the internet forums of love. hahaha

Same with Hostel 1....it wasn't graphic or showed much, but you knew what was happening. I thought Hostel 2 would be the same, but it was way more graphic and I was shocked that they got away with the scene I was referring too. However, the majority of people who posted, seem to think Hostel is for pansies...so perhaps something more 'hardcore' would suit them, you know.

I think Hostel was meant to be gory.
To be or not to be?

    Is that the question?

You should watch Midnight Meat Train, it's based on Clive Barker's short story

Have you seen Haunting in Conneticut or Paranormal activity? Haunting in Conneticut gave me nightmares for that one night BUT Paranormal activity gave me nightmares for month's and still does sometimes. CAN"T WAIT FOR PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2. i saw the trailer in theater's and screamed. it's better than the first, i can tell.

I've heard differing opinions on Paranormal Activity. Some say it was boring until the last five minutes and others have said they didn't sleep for weeks after watching it. I nearly bought it, but then decided to pass on it. I don't get enough sleep to start with, without getting any less, lol. If it's too eerie, I'd rather not watch it

Midnight Meat Train was pretty good though. If you can stand to watch teeth and eyeballs being removed in gory detail that is....lol

No, that was the Fourth Kind and that is supposed to be scary as hell too. Real alien abduction footage apparantly.

If you like it read the book as well, it's even better. I bought Clive Barker's Books of Blood when I was 15 and it was my favourite past time for awhile.
