Please Help! Hours before a flight!!!!

Hey there... I'll make this short.

Hours before a flight I have to take...
My boyfriend, who I met online (of course, right?) is supposed to see me for the first time tomorrow.
Instead of being excited, I feel impending doom.

I bought my plane ticket and the deal was we were both going to spilt the hotel.
Before I booked my flight, I wanted to confirm it with him and he replied with, "What's to confirm?"

I did everything on trust and faith.

Now, as the time is down to the quick, he has been mysteriously absent all day.
The last time I heard from him was a text saying he had to charge his phone.
    That was shy of 2pm.

I have to leave here in a few hours so please give me feedback.

I felt a great amount of responsibility trying to book the first two nights myself without any help...
Seems odd that I paid for a ticket to see him and I was left with the bag to pay and book the hotel for the very first time I had to meet him.

I asked for help and his phone was off all day.

Would you go without talking to confirm ANYTHING before the flight?
I feel unsafe, unsure and completely confused why he bailed on me today.

Seems like no excuse could be worthy.

    Thoughts???

Why did you leave this to the last day? All of the bookings should have been done in advance at least a few weeks back.

    The flight is booked.
The hotel is a different story.

He claimed his lawyer brother gets deals on Priceline for 50 bucks for 5-star hotels and would help us.
Well, he bailed and left it to me the last minute.

Now he is absent and turned his phone off.
My parents and friends are horrified.

    I am stunned.

Anyone can get deals on Priceline not just his brother who is a lawyer. I get those kind of deals on priceline all the time by naming my own price... anyways, if it was me I would of made sure I did everything myself and let him know the information and leave it up to him if he wants to be there or not.

Exactly... he waited until the last minute and I am stuck holding the responsibility. I don't care about the hotel at this point, what I'm concerned about is how he is completely MIA.
I put the pieces together and figure he has no money and has to borrow everything from his mother.

Whatever the case, he is completely unavailable and there is no excuse.
I am the one who has to fly to see HIM.
I am the one who could be stood up at the airport.

... and just to say, this man tells me he loves me every day and says I'm the one and wants to be with me forever.

Additionally, I'm GREAT with the computer/searching/etc.
He told me to book whatever hotel for 40 bucks and all I was looking for was some help figuring out which one....
There are many and I'm not the one who lives there.

Whatever the reason he is avoiding me, it's horrible.

Can you change the date for your flight?

This says it all to me. If you feel unsafe you should not go tonight. Most airlines will allow you to rebook your flight for a later date if they don't offer refunds for your ticket. Sometimes it'll cost about $100 but that's a small price to pay for your safety.

You guys should talk before you get on a plane. Figure out what his deal is. If he's a man and he loves you the least he could have done is pay for a hotel and make your trip as smooth as possible. Going MIA is unacceptable and worrisome. Stick to your guns and put your safety first.

    I completely agree.

Even if there is an issue with the money or embarrassment of... ETC., ETC., he is being completely irresponsible and not to mention hurtful to me.
My ticket only cost $230... to change it would cost $150 and well, not worth the small difference if I don't have an alternative.

How humiliating. Even if he called right now, I spend all day agonizing, I didn't pack and would have to leave here in under 3 hours.

I would not go if I were you. Not without a serious talk with him first.

Thank you. Time is ticking... 3:15am right now and I would have to pack and leave for the airport by 5:45am.

There is a part of me that wants to go just to say I showed up but how much can this man be *in love* with me if he leaves me hanging before a VERY IMPORTANT event?
    This is serious.

I think you are correct and unfortunately, I doubt I'm going to get a call.

Oh and P.S. I keep trying to call him and his phone is obviously shut off.
He is making a statement for sure.

Or maybe by shutting his phone off was the "hey, figure it out and deal with the hotel or else" covert demand.
    Who knows?

I don't know who this man is right now.

I agree with the rest. Dont go until you have things sorted out with him.
Even if safety does not become an issue, it is doubtful you will enjoy your time there.

BTW, your choice of screen name is an interesting one ...

Nada. No call, his phone is still off... NOTHING.

I completely agree with you, I doubt I'd enjoy my time there with a man who doesn't care about my feelings. It's not only what a man is not supposed to do, but what a FRIEND doesn't do. You know, my birthday is coming up as well, and this is just the kicker. What is sad is that I have to come to terms with the fact that all of the sweet talk, the plans, the everything is full of crap.

When I say things, I truly mean them.
I never married because I only want to do it once.

I'm just sorting through the reality of it all, knowing that not only will I not go, but this relationship has ended and once again I play the fool.

Oh and as for my Screen Name, I'm a big Maiden fan, LOL

Oh my god! how mortifying for you. I suppose NOW is not the time to tell you to avoid making internet men your boyfriend until after you meet in person.

I am really sorry this happened to you.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
