What Is Mind Over Matter?

Mind Over Matter is when you use your mind to overpower the pain being inflicted on your body.

First: This will take time and getting used too, once you know the techniques on Mind Over Matter you will have to practice.


Second: Okay, you first will need to practice this yourself. So here are the steps...

Step One: BE CALM. Then, Pick something pleasing to you that you can think about that will make you happy. EX: You and your girlfriend holding hands, happy together.

Step Two: When the pain is inflicted on your body, immediately start thinking of your "happy place" and try as hard as you can to block out the pain. Thus, overpowering the pain with your happy place.

Step Three: Try to lessen the pain any way you can, wether it's being punched, pinched, a cut, anything, try to stop it.

How To Practice:

Phase 1: You can practice by pinching your self lightly, think of your happy place...

Phase 2: Pinch yourself at a little harder, increase the pain, think of your happy place...

Phase 3: Pinch yourself harder, and harder, block out the pain by thinking of your happy place.

- You can do these by pinching, hitting yourself in the leg, but do not cut yourself because that just isn't smart... -.-

Example:

Your taking a knife out of your kitchen drawer and you accidentally gash your finger. Be calm, now start thinking of you and your girlfriend/wife happy together. Clean it up, put a band-aid on it, your good to go.

Practice at least once a day to increase your pain resistance.

NOTE: This will not completely take away the pain. Just ease your mind and block out quite a lot of it, depends how good you are at this.
