    Help?! Giving Girlfriend Space?

Hi all. I've been dating a girl for 8 months. She is 24, I am 27. She has a 5 year old son. She recently asked me to give her some space to sort things out. I wonder if I still have a chance with her. I love her dearly, and truly believe she is "the one".

--She says she still loves me
--She was in a relationship before me for 9 years, (and I was in one for 9 as well)
--Her Ex used to beat her, cheat on her, disrespect her, and is now about a few weeks away from having a baby with another woman.
(She does not want him back in any way, shape, or form).
--Her son adores me. We get along really well.
--Her and I talked about moving in together after my lease was up next June.
--Sex was great for both of us. I gave her, her first big O

I'm friends with her older sister, and she told me the following:
--She does NOT want her ex back, and there is no one else.
--She thinks guys like me grow on trees right now (I'll explain later)
    --She still loves me
--She knows being with me is the "right choice"

Before I stopped contacting her... I asked if I should leave her alone for good. She completely ducked the question.

Granted, I wasn't perfect. I'm very shy, and she is frustrated I don't come out of my shell while going out. I also lost my job, and she was frustrated things became boring. (Granted, you don't need money to spice things up--I realize that)

Some things I did for her:
--Scrubbed the bathtub for 2 hours, and ran her a bubble bath on a couple occasions.
--Made her lunch quite a bit
--Always massaged her, rubbed her feet
--Told her I loved her often, that I appreciate her, and that she's really special, beautiful, etc

Do you think she will realize she misses me? I haven't contacted her for a few days now (and I know it will take longer), but do I have a legit chance?

Did she have a "transitional relationship" after getting out of her bad, 9-year relationship? If not, she might not be ready to get as serious as moving in yet. Some people seem to need a rebound phase. Most people, actually.

No she didn't. That's the problem. The moving in thing was her idea. I just don't understand her logic. I'm all for taking things slow, and not having to rush anything. I just don't want to lose her.

    Sorry, I meant 8 years.

Age 15 to 23, and for 8 months with me.
