Methods of contraception

I always use condoms, but like to have a 'back up plan' just in case. I'm currently taking the contraceptive pill but if im honest I dont feel totally safe taking it (my son was conceived when on the pill, and yes i took it correctly!) so was wondering about other options... I will talk to a professional about it but wanted to hear peoples personal preference/side effects etc.

A lot of my gf's are on the patch. There is the shot too (doesn't appeal to me, I'd rather be able to administer the method myself). Or theres this thing you stick up your vag and it stays there for 3 weeks I think similar to the patc- it just goes IN you...

FYI- how long were you on the pill? I heard (unreliable source) that you should switch up the brand around every 5-6 years...

Might look into an IUD- IUD Birth Control - Mirena IUD - ParaGard IUD

My ex gf had one and once its in its pretty effective and virtually maintenance free.

The IUD works for me. No more hormones being pumped into my body, thank you. Usually you have to have had a child to get an IUD, not sure why. You're qualified!

Did your boobs get bigger when you got yours in? Desiree's did...I liked that part.

IUDs aren't 100% sure either, I'm evidence of it.

IUDs can be very harmful. Even the little plastic ones. They've caused bleeding, damaged uterine tissue, and several other problems. There is also the NuvaRing. It's a bendy little ring that fits over the cervix and from what I understand you can insert it yourself.

I had been on it for around 2 years, never missed a single pill!

I have thought about an IUD, but have heard some not so nice stories!

I couldn't get an IUD D: something about my cervix being too small or something.

Talk to an OB or someone at Planned Parenthood. It might have been a glitch that got you pregnant, or if you were taking an antibiotic or something.
Give me something I can take,
Can take to make the memories fade.
Poison kiss, remember this,
I never was meant for this day.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the BEST form of contraception: vasectomy.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
