    Preparing for marriage

    Hi there,

This question is short and sweet. Do guys need a while to get used to the idea of marriage? I’m referring to once it’s been brought up and talked about seriously. Is there, for example, some kind of slow shift that has to happen that women are unaware of?

    Thanks,

    Scarlet

I say it varies on personality. I think the marriage thing is generally not so easy for the guys than for the girls. It's not that we don't want to spend the rest of our lives with you... but it's such a big change. There is a possibility of "slow shift" for your guy; only you can answer (in time) your question, whether it's that or he's afraid of commitment. Sorry if my answer was too vague...

I think it depends on their personality but I have been told in the past if a man wants to marry you he will just do it. Some men that I have spoken to have wanted to propose to their girlfriends for quite a while but were waiting for "when it feels right". This may be them waiting until they know their gf will say yes or they want to sort out a more stable life before getting married so they can support their future wife.
