Another old one

So long is goodbye
we keep losing time
all the denial spread out on the bed
when all the convictions keep breaking at the end
trying to hold on to what we had
for better or for worst
trying to not look back
but who keeps track
looking for words that always seem to hide facts
Living a life that's just another fad

So they say
so long is goodbye
So long
and goodbye
Lost in all directions
wondering why
hear the ringing
heading towards the lights that are blinding
looking for the sunset that's crashing
falling for these tired eyes
with all this self doubt
facing the wrong direction
I know memories have cloud
trying to find whats behind this shroud

Its not a self conclusion of self reasoning
when I jump into the fire
to burn up with all of this desire
these red wires to tired too hold together
as the empty glass shatters
the over dosage so unbearable
wanting it to last
can it be whatever I see
Holding on to just yet another dream
when you inside of this box
and lips are locked
Still speaking to the dead
hearing voices play in your head
looking at all we regret
A trip to insanity is what I get
hoping to forget it all
the shadows from the past
that follow the narrow halls

Hiding in the closet
counting to 3
ready to scream
but the silence deafens
all in your head
when the ghosts past by
nothing to be said
but what is to be read on the surface
asking to remember all the things that will never
and the ending comes near and nearer forever
in the last attempt you leave a letter unsent
before you trip on the lead
hoping for a happy ending
something descending

wondering why
as time begins passing
and rain and winds start clashing
as the sunset begins crashing
what it is has been done
looking for what will never come
