Wondering why

Trying to find what is hidden
When the lights barely shine
You lay it all on the line
you just find yourself giving
in the end your heart just keeps breaking
when what you have never seems enough
your left on knees trembling
as tears run straight
trying to not suffocate
from the constant heartache
the lies just keep getting ahead
hitting dead ends
that never seem to end
to come back and greet you again

So When I cry
its not a question why
its what i feel
brought to my knees
cause I know what was real
So let me know
there's a new hope
something surreal
So even if its not true
I'll still follow through

Every word
has left me wondering
say what you think is true
what you need
so why should I care to believe
Again and Again
written all over the walls
its what I know best
embracing my downfall
it comes as no surprise

So When I cry

its what i feel
brought to my knees
cause I know whats real
So let me know
there's a new hope
something surreal
So even if its not true
I'll still follow through

Catch me on fire
I wont need the water
my pain will douse my excitement
I will be brought down
my breakdown
like every single thing that dreams
leaving the simple things
for reasons unknown
So I fell into the lies
but do I really need them


So When I cry
don't wonder why
I was brought to my knees
it was all the lies
cause what I felt was real
it was me hoping for something surreal
