It could just mean she wants to be friends? Often people use small talk until theyre fully comfortable with someone...If you like em you dont wanna scare them off with immediately going all emotional and Deep on them. On the other hand she could just think your a cool person , and likes to text a lot

well I dont think it is that.... I have been trying to "progress" this relationship very slowly. I finally got to the point where basically I told her to tell me now if I am in the "friends" zone so that I can plan accordingly lol. Not pressuring or anything. She seems to be interested in me. This is how it went down:
blah blah blah (im paraphrasing btw, "" mean actual quotes)
Me: ok do ur lab so we can hang out tomorrow... and do homework if you really want
her: ok. I really wana get this thing done.
me: why cuz you want to hang out with me so bad?
her: haha yeah, and cuz i dont want to be up all night doing work
me: U had to add that second part :-p I cna never win with you haha (joking)
her: sorry I had to!
me: "Haha its all good. im trying ot figure out ur angle and its very difficult :-p next week im gonna refuse any school related things and see how much u like me then :p haha"
her: "haha im sorry! people say Im really hard to read. Nex week, nothing school related

me: blah blah, but its ur turn to ask me to do something outside of school next
her: "haha no no, im not doing the asking :-p"
me: "haha so tell me then how am I suppose to know if you want to hang out or ur "just being nice"?"
her: "lets just say ive had a really good time with you whenever weve been togeather"
me: "ok so this is ur last chance then to tell me "your a really nice guy but..." or forever hold your peace :-p haha (not insinuating anything, haha but guys have feelings too :-p"
her: "haha nope, I'm not telling you that"
