Had 2 partners (1 and two halves!); I lost my virginity to my first girlfriend, despite her being wildly unenthusiastic about sex altogether. This was subsequently explained to me years later when I ran into her and her girlfriend! The first half was a one night stand that was going staggeringly well, and ran into a brick wall after going back to hers and being invited upstairs. Not having a condom on me, I declined - this was the ate 80s/early 90s when the TV was showing non-stop AIDS warning adverts. Like so many people my age we equated unprotected sex = certain death.

The second half was with my second girlfriend, now my wife. We didn't have full on sex for several years after we met (after 25) due to a psychosexual issue she had that we had to go through therapy to resolve.
