How can I make new friends?

I would like to make some new friends, but find that my busy life-style of work, managing home, and so on keeps me away from an active social life. Do you have some nice tips for me?

well it sounds like your making excuses for yourself right out of the gate as you ask the question. I would say that anything we HAVE to have we find time for. So if you want to make new friends (and if u r like me you HAVE to have quality friends) then you will have to make some time in your busy schedule to mix n mingle in order to get them. Perhaps starting with places your work style kinda person would hit up (golf course, gym or whatever) or if you are a home owner certinaly lots of opportunities to meet like minded people that share that same alignment.
