Fantasy man?

I'm asking an honest question here for you ladies:

Do you, in general, have the image of your "perfect man" in your mind? I hear some women talk about "my perfect" man sometimes. Do you have certain ideals set in your head (like dark hair, talk, lean muscle, green eyes, whatever)? Or is just preferences?

As a guy, I've NEVER had an ideal women. I have my preferences, but I've never thought "If I had a girl with this color hair, these sized hips, these type lips" etc. I like the idea of not knowing what exactly will attract me. Just wondering how it is with you ladies.

Yes, we most certainly do, at least I do. However my "perfect man" isn't the man I'm marrying. He's got plently of qualities that I've laid out in my "perfect man" ideal but I'm aware that my "perfect man" and every last quality I've set out is completely 100% unrealistic, therefore I guess you can say I've "settled" though I'm pretty happy I came very close to "perfect".

My PERFECT man (don't forget I'm well aware this man exsists no where on the face of the earth- he's an artificial creature)
-he's half chinese, half white (nope)
-at least 5'9 (nope)
-spikey hair with nice shaped head (there are some funky head shapes out there- I know it's not your fault you're born that way!) (nope)
-sexy ass glasses (yes)
-jeans that are tight enough to see his perfectly rounded tight ass but loose enough to make me wonder whats in his boxer briefs (yes)
-drives a 911 (yes)
-has a motorcyle (nope)
-is a skiier (yes)
-will smoke weed (yes)
-will drink booze (yes)
-will dance (yes)
-is hilarious (yes)
-will complain about bad service, people budging and other things that require standing up for yourself (yes)
-will go shopping and not complain (nope)
-is a corny man who is very, VERY affectionate (yes)
-doesn't watch porn (nope)
-wants sex 4+ times a week (nope)
-has money to burn (yes)

there's obviously more but that's to start. I'm marrying a man that's close... see all the Yes's

It's usually the guys not having sex and who are watching too much porn that say this. I can't speak for everyone, but most straight guys are attracted to most of the women they meet during the day on SOME level, but are too afraid to admit it out loud because of the same weird social standards that drive women to want to look like Megan Fox. It's silly social peer pressure.

Personally, "hot" girls aren't really my thing. Huge breasts, skinny body, "perfect" faces turn me off. I'm more turned on by cute, down to earth women and I'm thinking the man's version of a perfect woman is 100% bullshit created by MTV or something.

I've heard various dead serious versions of this on multiple occasions and never once has the man been more than barely attractive. Sad none the less true!

Well I can say which things I like best in a man, but even if a man has all of these, it doesnt say I'll even find him attractive. Weirdly enough.
Ideally, I like a man to be a bit taller than me (I'm about 5'6" I think, 1.72m), slim but not very muscular (too big muscles are a no no for me), I am a sucker for eyes so I have to like his eyes.. doesn't mean they have to be light eyes, but looks-wise, that's what I prefer. Nice face, doesn't have to be the prettiest face ever (neither of my exes was a pretty boy really), but just.. something has to be there. Hair, preferably dark and longish, I don't like men with too short hair. But again, if a guy is fantastic to be with, couldn't care less about the hair. Piercings and tattoos are a plus, but pretty ones, well done ones. Rocker/goth/metal look (the well-groomed metalhead if there's such a thing) is a great look, whereas I hate preppy/rapper.

My guy has to be down to earth, not macho, absolutely not, and intelligent. I don't have to dumb myself down for him, that's one of the biggest turn offs. Nice guys is what I like, I tend to get hurt too soon so I don't have to have a guy who says mean things just for the sake of being mean. There are those men, and I don't like em.

I like it when a guy loves the same stuff as me, fantasy, sci-fi etc. A reader would be awesome, I adore reading so some kindred spirit is great.

Beyond that I don't have many demands, and apart from the personality things, all of this is optional. I have to LIKE someone to be able to consider him my fantasy guy.. I've known guys to be everything I look for when it comes down to how they look, and I couldn't stand them! I won't say I'd be able to get over if this great guy would be the ugliest, biggest guy, I mean I have to find him attractive, but personality does much.

HMMM. The older I get, the more I find is THE "person" that turn me on rather than "the look of the fanstasy" men turn me on, when I was younger, I preferred. Height 6f-6f3, hunky, eye colour: blue or green, some1 likes to drink( a lot), a good time boy, also a gentleman( always offer to pick up the tab)& a bad boy , Strong yet sensitive, care for me without showing, not to needy. dont tell me what to do, clean, must love dogs....................

No wonder I am still single

My question wasn't so much if you have certain "types" you prefer...I mean, I prefer certain women but it doesn't mean I don't or can't like other women just as much.

I meant like Girl68's response...a "perfect" man in your head with an exact checklist of attributes, where you look for the guy with the most attributes on the list.

Yeah I know, and I know most women know it's a fantasy. But I never really REALIZED that a lot of women have this sort of specific list of things that they look for. It's just interesting to me to learn how women look for guys unconsciously. I've never had a fantasy of the perfect woman...even though I have a very very very good imagination (maybe too good), I've never had a fantasy of girl that I didn't already see or know in real life.
