Stranger on facebook initiates conversation

Hey'all, this may sound funny, but oh well..

How would you react if a random friend of your friend (a guy) would add you as a friend and later on initiate conversation? Is it really obvious that he's up to something? Would you mind?

I have had that happen to me and I replied to that person back. In your case you should reply back he may just want to talk to you because you seemed interesting to him, see how the conversation goes or where it goes you could wind up with a new friend and/or boyfriend.

Well yeah I got this idea after I saw a couple of girls walking to the train with one of my friends, I think one of them seemed nice and looked beautiful, so that's where the idea got started. Well apparently my friend has some connections with her, but he's busy playing 10 other chicks at the moment. I just dont want to make myself seem like an creep or anything..
