    The holidays

I've been in NC with my ex for about a week and a half now. We've been broken up for longer but we just stopped talking to each other. I definitely think it's for the better but with the holidays coming up and everything, I think I should send her a Christmas card. On the inside I am just going to keep it simple just to let her know that I at least still care. Just make a nice gesture. Is this OK?

    Uhm. What?
Are you trying to confuse her?
If you think this is a permanent split, there is no need to show you care.

Unless you want to be very clear, and state in your letter that you are not interested in getting back together, I wouldn't bother.

Ah, well then a card for the holidays sounds like a good idea.
Like you say, keep it fairly light. Even just signing it 'Still thinking of you, john doe'
    Dunno.

You guys broke up - so address that problem. Why exactly did you break up? In my experience if you broke up once the chances of a long term relationship are not that good.

Well pretty much there was not much good in our relationship anymore. We had both kinda lost interest but now I realize the problems with our relationship and want to give it another try. I'm giving her space but I just want her to know that I still care for her. She's the kind of girl that needs to know that I care. But anyways, last night she texted me. It started out innocent enough but later we ended up scheduling a meet up later this week. I will admit, we are both deprived of sex and it will probly happen. Should I bring up the relationship then? It's obvious that she misses me. Whether it's for sex or just to see me.

I have to agree with Sonrisa.

I say if things happen, let them happen.

    OR

If she brings up wanting to try again, then you 2 can talk about it.

I would suggest avoiding any physical encounters when you are still trying to figure a way to get back together. That will only complicate matters further.
To answer your initial question though, a Christmas card is a good idea and keeping it light is definitely the way to go. If, however, you meet up and decide to see each other more often and try to work on the relationship again, you may even need to go for a present. Just see how it goes.
