    ^^^ however, i'm assuming that you're a chick....

120 pounds isn't bad, however, i'd prefer my girl to be about 105-110ish.

See, I have a lot of problems with the BMI scale. The BMI scale doesn't take muscle into account. Of course, if you have a lot of muscle, your BMI will be higher.
I will do my best to reply with an educated, humble and honest answer. Ultimately, it is up to you whether you want to listen to my advice or ignore it completely. Sometimes, my advice may be wrong; occasionally, it will be right. Regardless, I want to do my best to give people answers they are seeking.

Considering your pic, you're definitely not obese, but you are slightly over-weight. You don't seem to have a pear shaped body either

Raver is into stick Asian chicks.

Raze is into chubby white girls.

    We all have different preferences.

Be careful when you say things like "the average American"... because the average American is overweight.

122 lbs is spot on the money for a female who's 5'1". You are healthy, not overweight.

Keep in mind, women naturally have more body fat than men. For your height, your weight is where it should be. Personally I find you to be quite beautiful and do not think you are heavy at all. Also remember, society and the media portray bony women as being attractive. Well, sorry but that is really not the case. Read this:

Being under weight can take it's toll on your body due to being malnourished such as developing osteoporosis, a weakened immune system and anemia. In women, being well underweight can cause infertility problems. Also, if a female over exercises or starves herself, the menstruation cycle may stop temporarily (amenorrhea). As you get older you can have other complications such as the weakening of muscles, poor memory and hypothermia. Those are just to name the few I currently know of.

Just work on keeping your health where it should be. Don't worry to much about losing weight or body fat as you are fine right where you are at. I hope this helps you and keep that pretty smile, don't frown over societies f***ed up standards.
