    Language or lack of?

OK, I understand if somebody posts on this website and English is not their first language and they make mistakes. BUT when people post on this website and they speak English as their first language and they cannot write correctly - that really pisses me off. Are they lazy or just stupid?

    hmm... both?

The ones who do that are usually teenagers, AFAIK.

Yeah use your own language properly or GTFO

Yes, it's crazy cause for example english is not my mother tongue and even I can spot the mistakes . And it's like they would write from hearing ,you know, I can't give you example now but I think you know what I mean. You can grammar nazi me but I take it as a lesson and I try not to make the same mistakes and those people don't even try to change . Well it could be also dyslexia. A lot of people have it.

It's the age of texting, many people use the text lingo in EVERYTHING now.

I soo want to smack those people, forums are NOT a friggin cell phone where you can only text so many characters!! Learn to differentiate between your cell phone texts & actually writing a bit more to make some total sense & make yourself look EDUCATED on an internet forum.

I think too they're both lazy and stupid. English isn't my native language and I make mistakes too, but sometimes I notice native English speakers not knowing the basics of their language (which I think it's annoying).
Oh, and another thing I've noticed around here - people that apparently haven't heard about punctuation marks...

english is my first language. that doesn't mean I'm a master in it and punctuate and spell everything properly. In fact I've taken 4 college level elglish classes and never got more than a C- (which is terrible) and I did try- I had a tutor and everything. I'm not "stupid" but english and grammer and all that jazz is not my strong suit. Never has been and doubtfully ever will be. But I'll admit fully, I can be 100% lazy when typing.

spelling and grammar are habits that develop over time and don't quite account for stupidity... but most people seem to be able to string a few lines together into something coherent. i don't bother with any other posts - hurts my head and wastes my time.

I get paid to look at silly mistakes like that on a weekly basis and correct them. When I come on here, I do a lot of 'selective reading'.

Apparantly, half of all people from ENGLAND, of which English is our mother tongue, are below Level 3 in English. I think that is shocking and they should be bloody well ashamed of themselves - fancy not being able to speak or spell your own native language. That is our society for you today....all thick as pig dung!

    That sounds like a title.

'So what do you do for a living?'
'Through spending the last 20 years in a temple at a peak in Hindu-Kush I have reached enlightenment and become a master of the art of masturbation....So I do masterbation'
    '.....Oh'

Anyways, on topic, for texting I think it's fine, but on the web it's kind of sad. If people actually spent those extra few seconds on writing properly they'd actually improve their accurate typing speed and use it in the workplace/studies.

What's your problem, Petit? Can't speak American? Let me help you, here:

When you learn how to dig for worms, you're an apprenticebater.

When you learn how to put a hook on a line, you're a journeybater

And when you learn how to put the worm on the hook, you're a masterbater.

It's very simple, really. I can't see how it rouses your killer instincts.
    When in trouble,
    Or in doubt,
    Run in circles,
    Scream and shout.
