I actually just came back from Cairns, it's in Queensland as well, but the northern part. The floods didn't reach there, instead we had beautiful sunny weather, saw the corals of the great barrier reef and the rainforest. It was awesome, I'd like to go back again.

    Stuff like that^

I feel bad for the people in Rockhampton, Emerald and Brisbane though.

If Australia's having problems, it's due to the excess faggotry.

I love how it always comes down to homosexuals, and never down to the fact that we've been involved in long senseless wars.

God is such a war monger.

Not to turn it into a full-blown religious discussion, but did anyone else hear about the news that the pope recently acknowledged that the big bang created the universe? And it all still works out because god created the big bang in the first place.

Of course that big bang was created by God And when it's said that the earth was made in 6 days (on 7th day, God was chillin' ) , Each day is in reality x years . We are probably still during the 7th day period ,where the God is chillin' -> therefore all those wars and violence The moment God finishes his day off, he's gonna be pissed off and this is when Apocalypse happens

I don't regard this as a victory. I find it unfortunate that everyone who believes in God thinks that it's somehow justifiable to use such a raw, unprovable conjecture in logic-oriented debates.

Similarly, philosophers who postulate that the universe is a computational simulation fall under the same category. When a hypothesis is presented without room to be disproven, it's instantly fallacious, in my book. People that genuinely make statements like "the universe was created by a deity" cannot reasonably participate in rational discussion.

That doesn't sound strange, considering that one of the co-founders of the big bang theory was a catholic priest Georges Lemaître - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm going to have to get in touch with a couple people I know from online that live in Australia, see if they are OK.

Glad to hear that where you are Mish it's OK.
