    Meeting him online.

    Hello everyone!

I met a guy online a year ago, more or less. For a long time we were just pretty good friends and confidents, but now, somthing happened and we kinda (well not kinda lol) fell for each other.
I haven't met him in person, yet, but i really want to. We both want to. My problem is we live 300 km apart, im 19, he is 17. So obviously my parents would'nt like the idea of it.....So i am asking your help, to get way to go there and meet him

    Thanks guys..

You hear these stories all the time, truth is your parents have your interests at heart the most, so even if you do not want to tell them, at least bring someone with you to meet them for the 1st time, going alone is always a MASSIVE RISK!

Meet him in a public place. Then it's not dangerous.

I am aware of the risk that i am taking for going there and meet him. I wish my parents could meet him first lol then it wouldn't be this hard to meet (in person) the guy.
I feel bad for having to trick my parents like this but still, i need to meet him, cause i am just tired of this internet thing. Just don't know how to escape the parents thing,

My advice: meet someone you are able to be with physically in the same geographical location.
You will put yourself through unnecessary hurt and it will not work out.

If your parents won't like the idea: there is a reason for it! They know better and they have been your age.

Yeah, I'd advise telling your parents EXACTLY where you are gong and I'd meet him in a public place. Better still, take a friend along with you.

Don't want to frighten you, but a 17 year old girl was murdered over here in my hometown, who had gone off to meet a guy claiming to be her age. Turned out he was really a 38 year old peadophile, posing as a 17 year old and using a 17 year olds pics.

    BE CAREFUL!!!!

Me. We met on the net. She lives 140 minutes from me. The first time we met was in a very public place - in front of the train station. Before then I emailed her a scan of my passport because I wanted her to know that her safety was IMPORTANT. Nearly 5 months later we are an item and spend every weekend together. But she's 40 and I'm 47 so perhaps that makes a difference.

When you first started talking, was it on a dating site, or was it casually on some random forum or other?

It was on a dating website. Initially she just wanted someone to talk to as her last relationship left her feeling terrible. We talked for a long time via the site then via MSN. We met and almost 5 months together we are defintely an ITEM.
