They can go back to being friends if this guy starts behaving himself again. There are legions of guys who are friends with girls just hoping they will get promoted down the line, and that relationship works well for both parties a lot of the time.

If your "no" isn't enough because he "deserves" to keep asking you until you stop being "stupid" and say yes, I doubt you are going to be able to hold onto a friendship with this guy. If you insist on hanging out with him, only do so in a group. If you keep hanging out with him alone, this is going to keep happening. You are dealing with someone who doesn't care about your desires. I don't think I could stay friends with someone like that myself.

BTW, I've been that same type of jerk when I was a teenager. I grew out of it, but I still remember the f-ed up mindset that I had back then.
