Why do guys watch porn?

The answer in my mind is really quite simple.

Men are not really bred for having sexual relations with a single person their whole life. Men have the instinct to 'spread their seed' so to speak. It's something that's hard to understand unless you are a guy. So, men use porn as a light-weight outlet to that desire. Let me put it this way -

I'd be willing to bet that well over 90% of all guys would absolutely love it if their woman said 'It's okay for you to have sex with any other woman as long as you don't fall in love with them and stay in love with me'. Almost any guy would agree with that, but I'm not sure as many women would. Women love emotional connection and want to feel wanted by their mate and want their 'Prince Charming'. Guys want to bang every hot girl they come across. It's animal instinct and you can't change that. It's the cold, hard truth (even though most guys wont admit this to their mates).

I don't use porn as a light outlet to appease my instinctual desires of spreading my seed. I also doubt that I'd run out and lay every girl that I can if my GF said it was okay. If that's what I really wanted, I'd probably do it anyway and cheat, but that's not in my nature.

If I wanna see a naked lady, I'll look at porn or go to a strip club. If I want to have sex with another woman, that's exactly what I'm going to do. Only a pathetic worm would "settle with porn" because he can't cheat on his girlfriend and get what he really wants.

I don't mind it unless it becomes a problem in the relationship. My ex ended up preferring whacking off to porn than sex with me so of course that didn't sit well but I don't have a problem with it in general. I understand men are visual creatures. There have been reports in the amount of cases of porn addiction increasing since accessibility has been so easy and like any addiction it needs to be treated accordingly if it gets to this point. aaaand another thing. How come EVERYONE assumes guys are walking sex machines? I don't care if its instinct, the instinct lies in sex - not in having to **** several women. Again: I'm sure some wants to **** several women as well, good on ya. Some men love their girl to the point where they don't really need anything else. Sure they watch porn, sure they have fantasies about other people, but they're capable of measuring someone up and down and come to the conclusion of "naaah. My girlfriend would probably do it better", og simply let it be an inspiration and act out that fantasy with their girl. I don't know how many guys I've met that told me it would be so weird to have their partner tell them to go have sex with someone else as long as he wouldn't fall in love with them. A man also admitted to have cheated on his gf once, and said it felt like having visitted a different "area" and that it felt completely out of sense. Of course anyone can get turned on by someone else, in a relationship or not - but to some it's pretty not cool to screw around on someone else. It's something that's hard to understand unless you have ever really loved someone from the bottom of your heart. I'm just saying that these men exist and the whole natural-instinct-I-gotta-jack-off-to-hot-strangers is a bit over the top at times and does certainly not count for all of the male population. Thank god. And for the record... women have the same thoughts and crushes. I don't know how many guys I see on a daily basis that looks completely doable in every sense of the word.

Actually, I don't think I agree with that on principle alone.
Not every male animal out there has the ;instinct' to just impregnate everything. Some are monogamous for life, while some have a partner or two per 'season', it varies.
I'm pretty sure the majority are seed sprayers, but I'm not sure we fall into that category 'just because'

We also have wants, something very few animals have. For men, it's easy to 'want' some attractive tail, and as humans, we tend to do things we want. That's an intellectual choice, not an instinct.
So with the whole intellectual choice thing out there, I have a hard time just accepting the instinct aspect of spreading our seed far and wide.

We are -fairly- successful with limited partners, even with cheating, moreso than I would expect if we were 'designed' to just screw everything we could.

I can completely level with you, girl! I get the same irritated feelings with my boyfriend ESPECIALLY when I find that the favorites on MY computer are filled with his favorite videos.
