I had a minor heart attack yesterday. pretty much everyone contacted me to see if I was ok.. even my ex's sister. the one person who didn't... My ex. We didnt even break up on bad terms.. Seems like I meant nothing to her. Yet, after this I still think about her... why?

How old are you? You seem awfully young for a heart attack.
Maybe your ex didn't know what exactly to say....Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

in only 28.. i run everyday and eat healthy too
... maybe your right.. but a text would have been nice you know.. kinda bitchy to not say ANYTHING when her sister even said something.

Well, I have a friend who had late stage cancer, and his ex wife never called him, and they even had kids together. He was very hurt, too.
Still, it seems you have more important things to worry about right now than her. Did they start you on medications to help reduce your future risk? I mean, a heart attack is bad enough, but jeezus dude! you REALLY don't want a stroke! (are you diabetic, by any chance?)Relax... I'll need some information first. no im not diabetic, blood pressure is perfect, cholestrol is perfect, I have to go to cardiologist tomorrow. No meds yet.. im taking asprin tho.

Wow man... thats really awful. I don't even know what to say except feel better. Doesn't it kind of put into perspective how insignificant the break up with a terrible ex is though? Right now, focus on getting better -- really focus on getting better. Anyone who would not come rushing to your side in a situation like this isn't worthy of anything from you, not your thoughts, your concerns and DEFINITELY not your love.

I know a little how you feel. I broke my leg last month. I was out of work for two weeks. Couldn't walk, couldn't drive, really couldn't do anything for myself. My ex didn't contact me at all to see how I was. It hurts especially when you feel so helpless, but you gotta focus on who was there because those are the people that matter the most.
Ted, how do I explain this to you. Last night, I ate the best cake of my life. Do you think I'm gonna let that cake out of my life? Hell no. I'm gonna find out what bakery made that cake and I'm gonna get some more cake.

yeah. what makes it hard is when you put your heart and soul into another person and those feelings are not recipricated. i dont need nor want people like that in my life
