I'm having a hard time gauging this girl's interest. She only seems to text me back at her convenience. I asked her out and she has legit excuses (we attend the same church and all and know her schedule) but she leaves possibility open for future.
I have no idea if she just thinks of me as a friend, although we dont know each other well, or just being nice, or she is interested but not a lot. Would you go for it or drop it? I obviously chose to dwell on this and began to like her over time, and now I can't think straight.

Don't talk to her for a week. If she texts you during the week, take at least an hour to text her back. If she texts you back immediately, then she has an interest in you. A girl who is interested will respond immediately. A girl who is not will, as you say, text you at her convenience.

I have a rule of interest when it comes to pursuing a chick. If I have ANY doubts, I follow them. Unless she is the CEO of a fortune 500 company I'd be willing to bet my life savings she's not half as busy as she claims to be. It's a game that men and women play, wait this long to respond, keep him guessing, keep him on his toes, don't "seem" too desperate. All games if you ask me. I'd say treat her exactly how she treats you if you wanna wait it out to see what develops. If she gets pissy about it, you have your answer.
