I actually still talk with my first love but to keep a picture in your wallet is rather weird and disturbing.

But if a picture is all you have of the time that once was it isn't as weird.

My first bf, who cheated on me, threw away all pics of me out of the blue while we were still dating, I was so confused then but now i know it was his way of trying to get me to break up with him so he could go off with another girl (just breakup dammit!) So he has no pics of me. I have pics of him though, from prom and senior pics and stuff, I keep them because despite the horrid breakup we still had a fun time together and now 5 yrs later we talk like we're old friends. I would, however, never keep them in my wallet! He is in the past and my wallet/purse is to hold things in the now! I dont even carry pics of my current bf in my wallet! If I found out an ex of mine was carrying pics of me in his wallet I would think it was hell of creepy.

    Ric,

I still think it's weird. If you keep it at home, yes sure, that's fine. But really, you're with a new love and you're keeping the picture of your ex on you at almost all times? Nah, I'd say let it go, get a picture of your kids or new love instead and look at that old picture every once in a while.

Why do men keep pictures of their ex in their wallet?
Because he has no cash to put in there.

If your man keeps a picture of his first love for -more than 15 years ago?
He is still in love with her.

Find a man who has a life independent from his past.

YES, it is weird. It's creepy. It's farking pathetic. It means and says:

"I can't move on and when I try they don't compare to you"

That's a possibility, but really doesn't have to be the case. You're awfully quick to jump to conclusions. I think it more likely there is some other reason. If after 15 years he really ain't over her yet it's quite pathetic indeed.

I don't know... I have a pic of my ex in my wallet just because I never bothered to get it out. There's pictures of friends too, tickets, etc. I just like to stash more than money in my wallet I guess, haha.

^^^ extremely believable. I can imagine my brother keeping tons of shit in his wallet due to laziness. Still if you have a current gf, then either out of respect for her or to avoid a later conflict with her, it would be best to take it out.

for sure. I got no feelings left for my ex so I wouldn't care if a boyfriend told me to get it out. keeping it put despite your partner complaining about it is a whole other story.

If I found a picture of my ex in my wallet that I'd forgotten about, I would take it out and shred it. If my husband found it, he would be really hurt.
