I said genertic not specific....stop picking at it. I should have said most common denominator. Of course there are special cases that will change the dynamics of a relationship....duh.

hm - sorry if I offended you (I think)...
In my opinion, I view getting over someone and loving them as two completely separate things..
My definition of getting over them is the amount of time taken to heal the hurt, resume to an acceptably normal state, begin to see other people, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, accepting the fact that me and the girl CANNOT work being together (whatever the reason)
Getting over someone doesn't mean you stop loving them.. I cannot deny that. I still DO LOVE my ex a whole lot.. Now, unfortunately, I'll have to keep that part of me in the corner of my heart.
I've read somewhere that it's simply too narrow to think that your heart is only capable of loving ONE person your entire life. Maybe this is what it means.
I don't know the answer yet, but I will let you know as time goes on, my man of 16 years has 4-8 weeks left to live, so I will get back to you and let you know how my heart is doing.
