Friendship Zone

Hey everyone,

New to this forum and I am having a bit of difficulty with this girl I have fallen for. Over the past two years we have been going to school together, however now I have graduated and don't get to see her that often. I took her out to a concert a week ago and I thought it went well. I did pay for the tickets so I assumed it would be a date. Today I asked if she would like to go watch a movie with me whenever she is free and she said "yah, your my fave movie buddy! haha." I wasn't that happy with that last comment because I thought it would be another date. She has caused me other things in the past such as hun, babe and darling. But I am not sure why the buddy comment got to me. I am now afraid I am stuck in the "friendzone." Am I reading too much into the text? What step should i take next?

Yes, you're reading too much into it unless you've been good friends for those 2 years of School. Go take her to the movie and try flirting with her. Make your intentions clear even if subtly. The way you look at her, talk to her, etc should signal you're into her. Only then will you know if there's a chance. Good luck.

We haven't been good friends for the two years, just this last semester we did spend a little bit more time together at school. I will take her out again and see where it goes.
