I'm not looking for a relationship right now, instead I'm looking for friends to hang out, but I've always connected better with female-friends than with male-friends, so where do you think its a good place to meet some smart friendly girls?

Think of "public" places that you like hanging out. Do you like relaxing at the park? Coffee shops? Lakes/beaches? Stay away from the wild crowd (i.e bars, clubs, big parties) as those are only full of people without direction. Fun, but meaningless. Mature people like independence and will stick with places that won't interrupt that.
