I went out drinking with a girlfriend last night, because - hey! - what else do you do when you're newly single and stewing about a breakup? I bitch and moan for a few minutes about how my ex is so stupid to throw me away, and what was he thinking, and does he know how many guys want to be with me, and what other awesome woman is going to want to put up with all his lameness etc. etc.

My friend shrugs and says: You really shouldn't be so upset about this. Your numbers were off.

Me: Our numbers?

Her: Yeah. You're like a 9 - 9 1/2 and he's like a 5, maybe 5 1/2. I didn't want to tell you, but everyone said so. Now you know and you can start punching your weight again.


And just like that, I felt SOOO much better.

Hehe, once or twice I've though "seriously, what do you see in her?!" when I see my friend with new gf. But I think it's not my call to say anything about it, I just wait and see what will happen and support my friend in any decision he makes. But after the breakup...
