haha back in high school it was different
now i just generally dont believe in opposite sex platonic friendships
there's always some sort of sexual tension
well, think about it like this
i wouldnt make friends with anyone i didnt like in the first place
and even when you're just making friends, attraction comes to play at some level
if you're able to connect on a emotional level with someone of the opposite sex you are attracted to

something non-platonic will develop
it could be one-sided
and most often supressed
because you know the two of you'd be better friends than anything else
i didnt realize it until i started dating in college
but after i realized it, i can't seem to ignore it

the only close female friends i have that i never ventured out of the platonic is ones who are already in commited relationships
a midnight call/text from a female friend who wants to talk/hang out/watch a movie is never without an underlying desire
most of the time nothing develops, but you can still feel the tension

What does who mean? By what?
Are you quoting somebody else? In that case, the meaning seems to be quite condensely stated in the second line. He generally doesn't believe in opposite sex platonic friendships.

I believe platonic relationships died with Plato some 2000 years ago. You're in 21 century mind you.
Nowadays, people just want to bang someone and then bang the next one. Until you can find someone you can bang everyday (even marry him/her) until you get bored and say to him/her that just "it didn't work".
The society as we know it lost most of it's ancient values.
