How long did you wait to say the big L word?

I'm afraid I'll say it like after a week or something. Like Ted from How I Met Your Mother. I'm a loving person, I tell everyone I love that I love them, a lot of the time My nephews, my niece, even my dog. I really need to watch it I guess if i don't want to scare anyone away.
Though i don't understand what's so scary about it. I'd be ok with them saying they're not feeling the same yet. But still I hold it in for as long as I can....

My hubby was the one to say the L word first, it was about a month into our relationship. I was not ready to reciprocate that strong of a word at that moment, but he understood. I think I waited around a month after that to say it back to him. If you already love your SO, then just say it! If they care about you they will understand and hopefully will be able to say the same thing to you when they are ready.
