And now for a serious answer. Does this happen when he is horizontal laying down? And you are bent over him?
Try sitting down with your back vertical and him standing up. There's not so much strain on the neck and face then. If he has a tendency to, um, fall, then make sure his back is against a wall or something. Also, sounds like you may get to tense while doing this. Try to relax and just let things happen. Maybe before you start he can massage your jaw, temples, and face. That might help.
