Middle School Love Question?

Sooo, I have a certain situation here...
Here's the story:
I really like this guy (let's just call him George) and I've known him for awhile and we're really good friends. George and I had almost every class together last year, but this year, we have absolutely none together, and when I see him in the hall, I don't know what to say. Can someone give me some advice on what to say, and to get him to notice me?

Give him a cute, shy wave when you see him in the hallways. If you're really good friends, then you have his phone number or whatever, right? Just call him and keep a conversation going by asking him questions and talking about things relevant to both of you.
