From observing the one or two guys I know who consistently attract women, I can confidently say there is no rhyme or reason about it.
The one thing I will add is that, as a guy, you must put yourself out there. If you talk to dozens of chicks a week, at least a few of them should be interested in you.
Half the time I think guys fail with chicks because they aren't meeting enough.
