Do women really like jerks?

Lots of guys believe that women like jerks. What do you guys think about this issue?

Needy, insecure women that don't respect themselves are attracted to jerks. The best women are attracted to confidence, independence and assertiveness... which many jerks have, but many wonderful men also have. The wonderful men also have maturity and other positive qualities. The jerks just have other negative qualities like abuse, manipulation, physical agression, etc. that some needy, insecure women don't see a problem with. Wonderful men will use confidence to get and maintain a good job, independence to take care of themselves and their women, and assertivness and maturity to tactfully confront and deter any threat to his woman.

So no, women don't like jerks--at least not the best (quality, truly beautiful) women.

It depends what you mean by 'jerk', doesn't it? If you mean someone who is extroverted and always fooling around, well, yes, some people like that, others find it annoying. There are all kinds of things that make people attractive to others, it's an individual thing. I don't think any woman likes someone who is selfish or arrogant, etc. but sometimes people take a while to work out that someone is a 'jerk' especially if they're really good looking or something?
