Of knowing you are near

I hear you in the kitchen
Or singing in the shower

The essence of a flower

The richness of a laugh
The teasing of a frown
The light that leads me on
Whenever I am down

I know my love is true
It's there beneath my fingers
The beating heart of YOU.

DO WE EVER LOVE IN VAIN?

Do we ever love in vain?
Does anybody know?
Does it matter what we gain
If our souls refuse to grow?

'Love' is but a word
invented by a man
How it fuels the universe
we will never understand

But we cannot live without it
And we die when it is gone
Love can make it right
when we know that it is 'wrong'

No, we cannot love in vain
But if you feel you do
Then give your love to me
I will make it all come true!
