Friend talking to girlfriend?

So I just wanted to give a shout out to all you good people on here hoping for some advice. One of my best friends who lives in Mississippi recently asked for my girlfriend's number, no harm there. So I gave it to him but he has been texting her non stop and even called her hot in a joking way but still... It just seems weird to me. My other buddy says he is just feeling her out to make sure she won't hurt me like the last girl did but I am skeptical. Should I be concerned about it or let it go?

I hope for your sake that your friend isn't trying to pull a fast one on ya. Keep a close eye on him. But if your girl is glued to you, she'd give him the boot anyway. Good luck
