    Rejection really hurts, research says

Maybe verbal abuse can hurt you as much as sticks and stones: Romantic rejection, at least, causes physical pain, according to a new study of brain activity.

Neuroscientists have scanned the brain of those who have been rejected and found out that romantic rejection can cause physical pain.

Its not that new (the NG article is Mar 2011), but thanks for posting!
Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.

I'm 26 years old and I've never had a girlfriend. But I've never felt pain.
Yes; it sucks to be rejected, but you'll get over it.

I do however feel nauseous when I'm in love with someone
Can someone please explain what is so great about constantly being reminded of that which you cannot have?

Do we even need research to show rejection hurts? What's next? Research shows couples in love are happy? You know how you feel that's what matters.
