What to do please advice.

My boyfriend would like to move in with me, as he lives a considerable long distance away.
He only rents where he is, and i own my own home.
We have known each other for the last year, and we go to each others place to stay.
He is a wonderful guy, and an upstanding member of his community.
We have a good sex life, apart from a hiccup or two, and we both enjoy similar activities very much.
I feel as though it would be nice, if he could just rent for 6 months or so, in my area, and then i would at least know where his head is at.

What exactly are you asking for advice on? If you don't want him to move in yet, please, by all means let him know ! That's one thing you both should be ready for and on the same page.

Nope, unless you are engaged with a date don't do it. What happens if you find out it's not working, how would you remove him from your place? And from the way you wrote it, did he invite himself to move in?
