To tell or not to tell

Ok so I had been waiting to be with a guy for a really long time. We FINALLY hooked up.. Not sex. It was a perfect night though. We talked; we kissed; it was magical. Then, things went downhill because of his busy schedule. I hadn't seen him in two months and we barely talked. I took this as a sign of his disinterest, so I started talking to another guy. We hooked up too, but it didn't feel as right. So, the next day, I called the npinitial guy who I TRULY care about, and it turns out it was all a misunderstanding. He DOES care. He was just legitimately busy.

Should I tell him about the other guy? Or just not ruin it?
Jack (the guy) and I aren't in a relationship. We've been best friends for eight years though, and I tell him everything. I don't want to keep secrets, but I don't want to ruin our potential relationship.. HELP

if you tell him everything....then tell him. If you eventually tell him later down the road when you two are in a relationship, you may risk him breaking up with you and time invested.
