I agree with everything searock suggested, but want to add that it used to be that if we hovered our cursor over the title of a thread, we would be able to see the first couple of lines without actually opening that thread. I liked that feature. Can we have it back?

Some mechanism to automatically cut postings to less than a gazillion words.

You shouldnt judge a book by its cover. Anyway rest assured that your request will be satisfied by LA, he always does the exact opposite of whatever i request. I was just using a bit of reverse psychology on him. People that write posts longer than 50 words deserve to be shot.

1. Unlimited thanks
2. Unlimited deleting (and possibly editing)
3. "Hover" feature

The reason why the 'hover' and get preview feature is turn off is to enhance the site performance. Primarily to speed up the forum.
The 'thanks' have been restricted to prevent 'thanks' spam..
The 'editing' time restriction is to prevent SEO workers to come back to add in their website link to old post...

there is always a reason behind every thing we do for the forum... for the good, of course.

The site worked just fine before the hover feature was removed... but OK, I understand. Even though I think there are several other features less useful than the hover feature, that could have been removed instead. For example, the subforums "your local love forum" and "love quotes" - basically nobody uses them. And we could merge "Love stories" and "Love poems" into one sub-forum.

What is "thanks spam"? I think we all agree that we like being able to thank who we want, how many times we want, whenever we want. So I don't really get why it needs to be limited.

OK for the editing thing. What about the deleting option? I'm sure that wouldn't hurt anyone.
