Ok..I will try keep this short and sweet. Been seeing a guy for about 6 months. Got dumped a few weeks ago. Yesterday got a text from him basically saying he hoped I was ok but he didn`t want to get back together. About 2 hours later he sent another text but this one was basically dirty...saying stuff he wanted to do to me....I haven`t and will not respond to this...I`m just wondering what the reasoning behind this would be...It does not make any logical sense to me whatsoever...Any thoughts/opinions would greatly help!!

He most likely wants attention. I would say he is just stringing you along and keeping his 'options open' to be able to go back to you if ideas with other girls do not work out. Your best bet would be to ignore him and let him be and let him know you wont just run back to every word he says.

I find it strange that in the space of 2 hours on a Friday afternoon you can text someone two totally different texts like that.....if the dirty one had been on a different day then I can understand...

Maybe he got mixed up and sent it to you instead of someone else.
And the drunk thing sounds about right, maybe he started drinking or just a day out with the guys and drank.
